This program takes competitive springboard and platform diving to the next level. Divers train towards yearly goals of competing is Aspire Provincial meets and gradually working on new dives to enable them to compete at the Tier 1 level and qualify at Junior/ Senior Canadian Nationals. Divers also have the opportunity to travel with the team to “away” competitions. Divers may also have the opportunity to attend provincial, National and International Training Camps and Competitions.

The season runs from September to July at the Nepean Sportsplex. Divers are asked for a commitment of 3-6 practices a week, with a practice length of up to 3 hours. Divers are assessed by the Head Coach at the beginning of each season.

What to expect

The sport of diving encourages mental focus and concentration, and will teach the athlete to meet each task and objective in pursuit of established goals.

How the classes work

The first hour of each training session is dry land. Your child will require shorts, a t-shirt, socks and runners. Girls with long hair should have it tied back. (They sometimes lose hair ties during practice, so please send extra hair ties.)

Girls require a one-piece bathing suit. We recommend buying it slightly smaller than usual, as it will stretch when it becomes wet.

Boys require a bathing suit (rather than swimming shorts).

Water bottles are recommended to help the athletes stay hydrated during training.

Purchasing a shammy is optional.

Team Communications

A mailbox is located on deck during practice. One of the folders will bear your child’s name and will contain important information from the dive office. Please check the mailbox at each practice.

All other information will be communicated via email or click on link above (Team Communications) for competitive team members and enter password provided.

Each season, NODC runs a fun competition, open to all non-competitive divers.
