Nepean Ottawa Diving Club - Since 1973

Established in 1973 the Nepean Ottawa Diving Club is a non-profit organization sanctioned by Diving Plongeon Canada and Dive Ontario with deep roots in the Ottawa community. The Nepean Ottawa Diving Club has trained since its start at the Nepean Sportsplex, a world class facility that has hosted many competitions at Provincial, National and International levels. The aquatic facilities include a 25 metre pool, 50 metre pool, hot tub, child's area, and a dive tank with the following equipment:

The Nepean Ottawa Diving Club is proud of helping create numerous well rounded elite athletes that have enjoyed the thrill of participating in Provincial, National and International competitions; many of them continuing to be involved and influential in the sport of diving to this day. Although diving is for the most part an individual sport, the Nepean Ottawa Diving Club considers team unity a major factor in the development of great athletes and prides itself on creating an inspiring team atmosphere for all of its members. We have a number of programs at the Nepean Ottawa Diving Club that might meet your needs. We are proud to boast that our team ranks in the top elite of the province and by far the strongest in the city. We currently have athletes competing at the Canada Games this summer and others medalling as the top junior and senior athletes in the country.

Our programs consist of three different training regiments. The Learn to Dive program runs at two locations across the city and it consists of a one hour training session per week for a nine week session. During the week, the program runs from 6:30-7:30pm and on the weekend between the hours of 9:00-11:30.

The Junior Developmental program is our intermediate training program at the Nepean Sportsplex. There is no diving experience required to participate. The program runs Mon-Fri from 5:30-6:30pm. The participants have the option of picking one, two or three days per week or three days per week, whichever is most conventient for their schedule in order to come in and train with us. They are in small groups and rotate through stations consisting of dryland, trampoline and diving. This program runs from October to the end of May and includes a number of small in-house competitions.

Our competitive team is by invitation only, however athletes with diving experience may be invited to participate in our entry level, pre-competitive group. There are a number of levels within our competitive team and athletes are placed and compete according to their skill. Training runs Mon - Fri between 3:30-6:30pm and begins in September. Depending on the competition schedule for the athletes, some finish their training in June while others will be competing until August.

We look forward to having your family join our club.
